Where can I enter my long-acting insulin?

You can enter your type of long-acting insulin in your settings.

1. Click on 'More' 
2. Click on 'Settings for insulin calculator'
3. Click on 'Long-acting insulin' 
4. Choose your type of long-acting insulin 

Hedia accounts for your long-acting insulin when giving you recommendations of insulin. When setting up your insulin calculator in Hedia you are asked to enter your total daily dose of insulin (total amount of insulin taken in a day including long-acting insulin). Hedia will use your total daily dose of insulin to calculate your insulin sensitivity factor and your insulin-to-carb ratio.

Hedia calculates your recommended rapid-acting insulin dose based on these two factors, which is how your long-acting insulin will be reflected in your rapid-acting insulin recommendations.
